I posted this in a journal entry a little bit ago but figured I'd post it here as well because interested in what everyone else thinks...

OK, here we go. I wasn't crazy about the contemporary routine to begin with, and it's obvious Sabra danced it better than he did, but all things considered he really wasn't awful. The routine was nothing spectacular and I thought he did a pretty decent job. As far as a lack of emotion, I'm not sure if I agree with that because while there were some parts that were kind of bland, there were others where you could tell he was really feeling it. But whatever. As for his solo, I was seriously tearing up. He put so much emotion and feeling into it, it was almost apinful to watch but in a good way if that makes any sense. It has sucked watching him struggle from week to week with choreography that doesn't highlight his ability as a dancer, and seeing him get criticized for something that isn't his fault; there is only so much you can do with bad choreography and as someone who danced for a long time, I know what that's like. If you are given unimpressive choreography, there is only so much you can do to make the routine look good, and Kameron has obviously tried hard to do that. So when he did his solo, you could tell he put everything he had into it and when the judges were commenting on his solo, I thought he was going to cry and it was amazing. I know pretty much everyone wants him to go home this week, but I really think he deserves to stay so so so so much. /end rant

agree? disagree? idk, i'm curious about what you guys think.
and this community isn't very active (mostly my fauly haha) so it couldn't hurt.

I agree. The choreography had been so horrible to him. All the choreographers seemed to want to highlight Lacey and even when he got a mini-solo in a preformance, the camera's still showed Lacey.
I only hope he stays out of the bottom three this week and gets a dance he can do excelletn with and can show off his moves.

Like last week, how he got a mini-solo and half the time the cameras went to Lacey... who was just sitting there.

Exactly. I love Lacey but seriously...Kameron deserves some of the spotlight and even now they're focusing on Sabra.

Tyce choreographed the contemporary.

I don't feel like the choreography has been expecially bad to him. I think the judges have been bad at recognizing what he is giving the choreography. Kameron is, hands down, the strongest partner there. He does any crazy lift they throw at him. He managed to catch Lacey when she ran across the stage and jumped on him..... without budging an inch! He is amazingly powerful and the choreographers know it. They use his strength in all the routines and, unfortunately, the judges seem to notice the female's part in the dance more than Kameron's. Those girls wouldn't be so impressice if they didn't have him there to throw them around.

Anyway, that's just my piece.

I agree, he is amazingly strong and has definitely been the strongest partner. but i think the choreographers have focused too much on that and as a result have let him down as far as giving him choreography that highlights him as a dancer. the show is called 'so you think you can dance,' not 'so you think you can catch girls when they jump at you.'

I agree wholeheartedly!
